Mossmorran Action Weekend - Join us on 31.07.21 - 1.08.21

Updated: Jun 25, 2022

Join us for a weekend of workshops, skillsharing and action to #ShutDownMossmorran and win a future free from fossil fuels. This event will be a chance for us to regroup in a COVID-safe way, learn from each other, and build momentum for climate justice.

WHY MOSSMORRAN?

The Mossmorran petrochemical refinery is Scotland’s third largest polluter. Polls show that two thirds of Scots want to wind down oil and gas extraction and invest in green industries, but Shell and Exxonmobil continue to fund this dirty infrastructure with the governments doing little to stop them. As Scotland prepares to host the COP26 UN climate conference, we are mobilising to ramp up the pressure and ensure Scotland delivers on the promise of a Just Transition.

We act in solidarity with Fife residents living at the sharp edge of fossil fuel pollution, communities on the frontline of the climate crisis, and with other mass actions against fossil gas infrastructure this summer by groups such as Ende Gelände and Shale Must Fall. Now is the time to call out climate hypocrisy and make our voices heard. Join us!
